This policy explains how A Hive Mind Ltd (trading as SmartBee) handles personal data collected through smartbee.build. We are the data controller. You can reach us at hello@smartbee.build.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address. If you send a message or book a call, we collect your name, email address, and anything you choose to tell us. We do not collect special category data, and we ask you not to send it.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to you, to arrange and hold a call, and to let you know about our services when you have asked us to. Our lawful basis is your consent when you join the waitlist, and our legitimate interest in responding when you contact us.
Who can see it
Your data is stored on our behalf by our hosting and database providers, and our email is handled through Google Workspace. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising. We build UK-first and keep your information where it should be.
Google-connected services (SmartBee Connect)
If you use SmartBee Connect to link a Google account, you can grant your hive access to specific Google services: Gmail (to send the emails you approve), Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and YouTube. You connect through Google's own secure sign-in and approve each permission yourself before anything happens.
We use this access only to carry out the actions you ask your hive to perform. We do not sell your Google data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to build or train generalised artificial intelligence models. You can remove access at any time from your Google Account permissions page, and you can ask us to delete any data we hold by emailing hello@smartbee.build.
SmartBee's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and waitlist data only as long as we need it to help you, and then we delete it. You can ask us to remove your data at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@smartbee.buildand we will action it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy first.
